I’m off for the next few days enjoying a short break and have been reflecting on recent sessions. I’ve been having a whole lot of fun with bondage lately. I particularly enjoy the scope for creativity that bondage provides. My bondage style tends toward the eclectic. Rather than adhering to the forms of one particular tradition I’ve acquired skills and inspiration from a variety of sources.
Bondage Options
I enjoy working with a wide variety of equipment to restrain my slaves. Rope of course is a perennial favourite, a versatile method of restraint that is endlessly adjustable to fit different needs and different body types. The different properties and textures of different types of rope adds yet another dimension to explore through play. Leather and latex bondage add a fetishistic element to restraint. Metal bondage is deliciously final and inescapable. Mummification is beautifully ritualistic and provides wonderful encasement and compression. Often I enjoy combining methods of restraint to offer even more bondage options.
Rope Suspension
When thinking of suspension most people automatically think of rope suspension. Of course this is understandable. Rope suspension has been enormously popular within the kink community for a number of years now and more recently has attracted more mainstream attention, featuring in fashion shoots and music videos.
I love doing rope suspensions and tend to be able to adapt them to work for most slave’s body types. Expectations do need to be realistic though. Suspensions are often quite physically taxing. It’s always worth considering when looking at hot suspension bondage pics that the model may have only been kept in that pose for the few moments it took to snap the pics!
In addition to rope, at Mistress Servalan‘s Carisbrook dungeon, where I conduct my sessions, we have several options for non-rope suspension and inversion.
Non-Rope Suspension Options
Probably the most comfortable suspension option would be the beautiful leather suspendable body bag. This piece combines beautifully with the custom chain assembly that Mistress Servalan and I affectionately call “The Tentacle Demon” and can be suspended both horizontally and vertically. I particularly enjoy combining the body bag with a leather hood to enable the slave to be able to float in leather scented bliss….or not…as the bag’s strategic zips do provide good access for torture.
Also relatively comfortable is the suspendable ball cage. A particularly visually striking piece, the suspendable ball cage allows slaves to be inescapably caged and hung in the centre of the main dungeon. Of course the cages well spaced bars and completely adjustable height does allow Mistress plenty of access for further play and the addition of more bondage.
We also have an excellent parachute style leather suspension harness. This is a quick and easy, safe way to suspend a slave for further torment and additional bondage.
My padded leather ankle suspension cuffs are particularly suited for inversions and can be used with or without boots underneath. These can be combined with additional bondage or used for simple, but effective inverted suspensions.
The option also is available to suspend slaves who are mummified or encased in latex body bags using custom straps attached to the chain “Tentacle Demon” assemblage.
At the much lighter end of the scale, at Carisbrook we also have two sling options to get slaves up off the ground. We have a traditional leather sling and a flat sling which is often more comfortable for slaves who have physical limitations or for more extended use. These are housed within a mirrored sling room which allows an amazing view of all the action.
Inversion Options
In addition, for inversion we also have two amazing pieces of dungeon from England’s legendary Fetters.
The most striking of these pieces is the Wheel of Misfortune. Most slaves spot this immediately as they enter the dungeon. This fun piece works beautifully to restrain a slave and as well as allowing a complete inversion can be secured at various different angles.
Upstairs there’s also an inversion rack which combined with sensory deprivation provides a beautiful floating inversion. This is an extremely versatile piece that works well with a multitude of bondage additions and play options.
